Systemless in a Parallel World

Chapter 152 Commanders And Soldiers

Zayn didn\'t count the days because they passed way too quickly.

He hunted various monsters and manifested the Spirit of those he deemed as the strongest. As for the remaining monsters, their Soul Wisps were allowed to ascend and disperse after the attached ownerless soul particles had been devoured.

Their corpses were devoured and turned into Soul Orbs which Zayn absorbed to increase his strength.

Slowly but steadily, Zany was getting stronger and the register of his Spirits increased rapidly.

His small unit consisting of five Winged Serpent Spirits expanded a bit. Their numbers doubled in size!

At first, Zayn was pretty sure that five Winged Serpent Spirits were enough. However, he recalled that Spirits could be fused and that a higher compatibility between the Spirits would result in a much higher success rate of a Soul Fusion. That way, he wanted to create a Winged Serpent with much higher talent once he learned the Soul Fusion technique.

His memories of the technique were basically non-existent. However, since he began to recall more memories of his past, Zayn learned a bit more about his past self. He could roughly gauge what kind of person he had been in the past, and what technique he was capable of using.

His instincts told him if something was possible, or if he had never learned a certain technique, in the first place.

Unfortunately, that didn\'t mean he could use the techniques even though he knew that he learned them in the past. That was a little unlucky.

But it didn\'t affect him that much because he could already start collecting some Spirits with the intention to fuse them later.

The Winged Serpent Spirit was not only powerful and highly likely to turn into a stronger existence upon being fused several times, but it was also very useful right now.

They were silent killers with terrific speed and an eyesight that was hard to fathom. Using ten Winged Serpent Spirits instead of five merely meant that Zayn\'s aerial unit had turned into something that could hardly be ignored.

Any opponent who was foolish enough to ignore the sky while fighting Zayn and his Spirits would learn to regret this decision. Surviving a dive from ten Winged Serpent Spirits was not something any Soul Knight could easily survive.

His WInged Spirits were getting stronger as well, meaning that even fewer beings would be able to ignore his control of the sky.

Speaking about the sky, Zayn had gotten his hands on another aerial monster. It was a Greater Tornado Eagle Spirit with exceptional control of hte surrounding winds. Using Aero, the Greater Tornado Eagle Spirits, and its control of the surrounding winds made it much easier to control the Winged Serpent Spirits in every fight.

Under normal circumstances, the Winged Serpent Spirits would only dive down when they encountered an opportunity and the winds were on their side, pushing them closer to their target. They desired to ride the winds to be as fast as possible once they locked onto a target.

The winds were nor always on their side. Thus, Zayn got hold of the Greater Tornado Eagle Spirit. Its talent was above average, which was not too surprising but Aero didn\'t possess any noteworthy means of attack. Its claws and beak were not dull, but the force in its claws and beak could be considered non-existent.

The Greater Tornado Eagle was known for fighting solely with its wind attribute. That was also why its wind attribute was stronger than the elemental attributes of other monsters at the same rank!

Aero was hardly used for fighting. On the contrary, it was the aerial support unit Zayn needed without knowing that he needed it!

Fighting went much smoother with Aero controlling the surrounding winds to create the perfect air currents for the Winged Serpent Spirits to ride. Their terrific velocity shocked most monsters that were unable to deal with the fatal damage his attacks caused.

However, the aerial unit was not the only part in Zayn\'s Spirit Army that had been strengthened.

Zayn found another pack of Greater Forest Wolves. They had been fighting a big group of Thorny Terror Boars. Both were monsters with two Soulrings, and both would turn into powerful Spirits with one Soulring and enough soul particles to create a third of the second Soulring.

These kinds of targets were perfect for Zayn because he chose to increase the number of Spirits for the time being. He wanted to be prepared to fight hundreds of Blessed if history was to repeat itself.

The quality of his Spirits was already great. Thus, it was fine to avert his focus a little bit to the quantity of his army.

An Army did not only have Commanders but also Soldiers!

The Soldiers Zayn appointed to his Army of Spirits were 15 Greater Forest Wolf Spirits, and 15 Thorny Terror Boar Spirits.

The Greater Forest Wofl Spirits had an above-average talent and their average strength upon getting manifested was at one Soulring and 30% soul particles to the next Soulring. They didn\'t have any special attributes other than being large wolves.

Zayn labeled them the Assault Pack, and he didn\'t give them any other names. They would move in their pack and assault their opponents together, similar to how they had been fighting before.

As for the Thorny Terror Boars, their talent was average, and their average strength upon getting manifested was at one Soulring and 25 soul particles to the second Soulring. They were bulky boars the size of an average adult with large thorns jutting out all over their body, almost as if they were porcupines. As for their name, Zayn found a pretty simple one. \'Defense Horde\'.

Saber and Tank turned into the Commanders of the Assault Pack and the Defense Horde, while Aero commanded the Winged Serpents, the \'Aerial Hunters\'.

Their commanding abilities were nothing overwhelming but they were still decent. Zayn had felt the necessity to organize his Spirit Army.

After all, he had more than 50 Spirits now that he had accepted a large batch of Soldiers into his rows!
