Chapter 13: 48/50
Chapter 13: 48/50
The weakest magician was no longer the weakest!
When the hell did that happen?!
Simply inconceivable!
They couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Rather they consciously refused to believe it.
So they rubbed their eyes with the back of their hands and looked at the crystal ball with blue dots forming the numerical number twenty, once again.
The same result followed.

A pleasant notification sounded in Elliot’s mind, causing a smile to stretch across his face.
“I only need to disturb the peace of 11 more people to complete the trial and gain the ability to manipulate the Breath of God.” He said in his mind, looking forward to possessing an ability with a godly name.
Meanwhile, Cain and Rodriguez felt especially embarrassed by this whole situation as Elliot was stronger than them based on magic energy capacity.
“He must have faked his result somehow.”
“I refuse to believe he is better than me.”
The two teenage magicians, who have always looked down on Elliot, couldn’t come to terms with a reality in which Elliot was better than them.
At the same time, when looking at Elliot, Theo only saw a figure enclosed in the aura of greatness, and he couldn’t help but smile.
“So, he has somehow managed to alter his fate. He is an interesting fellow.” Theo thought, staring at Elliot’s back with an intense gaze.
A few moments later, once the intense happiness in her heart settled down, Instructor Nina looked at Elliot and said, “Looks like your bestial ways of training over the past few years have finally come to fruition. You did well!”
She has been looking after Elliot from behind the scene for a few years, especially when she heard about the death of his parents.
Elliot’s agent Charles was a man she hired to look after him.
“Ah, thanks,” Elliot said with a smile.
“But how did you know that I have been training like a beast?” He suddenly asked, looking into her ocean blue eyes.
Instructor Nina’s mouth gaped as if the cat got her tongue.
She has been spying on him ever since she gained independence from her family, as Elliot held a special place in her heart.
Of course, she couldn’t say that she has been stalking him online and offline or that she knows everything about his life.
What if he mistook her for a person with ill intentions?
Or worse!
Elliot, on the other hand, found himself lost in the sight of her sultry small red tongue, wondering how sweet it will taste.
“It’s because you’re famous for that in the magician community. Didn’t you know?” Nina said after a moment.
“This is the first time I am hearing that,” Elliot said with a laugh.
He has always trained in the woods, a place where people barely pass by, and the only person who saw the way he trains was Charles, his current guardian and the agent assigned to him under the orders of the Magician Association.
So, it was hard to believe that others knew about his hardcore training method or that he has been training every single day for a few years
“Now, please place your hand on this device to get your ability affinity checked.” Instructor Nina said, trying to stop him from further questioning her.
“Sure,” Elliot said as he placed his hand on the Ability Affinity Device.
A few moments later, black and milky white dots began appearing in the crystal ball, causing the eyes of many magicians to widen and their mouths to gape.
“A unique combination of light and darkness ability affinity!”
“There has never been someone like him before.”
The examinees said in a surprised tone, wondering how the hell could an anomaly like Elliot exist in this world.
“Haha! So what?! There’s no way for a magician to contain two contracting supernatural cells in their bloodstream. He doesn’t have any potential as a dual ability user. Thanks, God!” Cain said laughing his heart out, feeling satisfied that Elliot won’t be able to contain two types of supernatural cells in his bloodstream.
“Still, you can’t deny that it’s still impressive to have the potential to awaken an ability related to darkness and light,” Theo spoke up from Elliot, defending and outlining his potential.
He spoke for him, so the others also didn’t hold back the words in their heart.
“He’ll surely be popular with the girls now.”
“He’s worth befriending.”
“Suddenly, he looks pleasing to my eyes.”
As the students felt startled by his unbelievable affinity to abilities, Elliot once again received a notification from his artifact.

“I only need to disturb the peace of two more people to complete the trial, but there are only 48 people in this room. And I can’t earn trial completion points twice from the same person.” Elliot sighed in his mind.
He needed to get out of the examination room and mess with the peace of two innocent to complete the trial, or so that’s what he thought.
Meanwhile, Instructor Nina Olsen felt happy for Elliot, and she said, “Elli, you’ve gained the rights to obtain darkness or light evolution material from us to awaken an ability. Which one would you like?”
“Um, how come you are calling me by my nickname?” Elliot asked.
“Dah, we are childhood friends. Or did you forgot that?” Nina asked as her pretty eyes made eye contact with him.
He found it hard to believe that she still remembers him, but he felt happy she does.
“I didn’t,” Elliot said, smilingly.
